Emma Hartley

Diploma in Health Science (NMHNZ), Advanced Diploma in Health Science (Naturopathy and Nutrition)

Emma’s affinity for herbal medicine was driven by personal experiences where conventional therapies had not addressed the underlying causes of concern. This led the way for Emma to complete naturopathic studies, with a goal and focus to combine alternative and conventional patient care. That is why she is currently studying towards the Bachelor of Nursing.

She’s further expanding her knowledge of the human body, biological processes, culturally safe care and understanding of pharmacology for conventional medicines.

Possessing the knowledge that certain herbs and plants can often provide relief from conditions such as skin irritations, gut dysbiosis, sleep problems, and to an extent anxieties and chronic health conditions, has made Emma take a special interest in understanding the pharmacokinetics and dynamics of New Zealand native plants for medicinal uses.
