Melanie Young
Melanie studied to become an osteopath at RMIT University in Melbourne, graduating with Distinction in 1997.
She has over 45 years experience in dance, Tai Chi and Pilates. She draws on these foundations, combining them with gentle treatment approaches, including Functional, Cranial & Biodynamic Osteopathy, to effectively treat a wide range of ages and conditions.
Melanie started studying Biodynamic Osteopathy in 2002 with Dr Jim Jealous, completing all nine phases. She has since taught and lectured in Biodynamic Osteopathy internationally.
Since 2015 she has been working and studying in the field of mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to help a range of health conditions including concussion, stroke and wound healing. She has also been studying ACT: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help her patients with the cognitive and emotional aspects of their healing journey.

Melanie has a clinical focus in providing gentle effective Biodynamic Osteopathy for people of any age with past major physical trauma, especially concussion recovery. She is also very experienced in supporting individuals through pregnancy, preparation for labour, recovery post birth, babies and children.
Melanie has a passion for working with people undergoing Orthodontics and enjoys treating the Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) and other mechanical issues of the cranium such as sinus, tongue problems (in babies or adults) or ear infections. Her goal is to listen carefully to what your goals are and provide the best possible care. She loves to help you move freely again, pain free.
Melanie is married with two teenage children and loves to walk in the bush and swim in the sea year-round.
